Welcome to the 6th Annual Numb3rs Slash Ficathon!

Despite the fact that our show has been canceled, we’d like to celebrate the past six years of awesome.

This year’s theme is 1988.

That year was chosen as my best estimation of the year Don and Charlie graduated high school. Prompts will consist of one each of the top movies, tv shows and songs of 1988, so you’ll have three separate prompts, one of which will hopefully inspire you.

Die Hard, The Land Before Time, Young Guns, Dangerous Liaisons, Mystic Pizza or Bull Durham?

Mission: Impossible, 21 Jump Street, MacGyver, Moonlighting, Beauty and the Beast, or My Two Dads?

I Hate Myself For Loving You, Fast Car, Sweet Child Of Mine, Bad Medicine, Hungry Eyes, Man In The Mirror or Giving You The Best That I Got?

It’s the 80s people! *g* And that’s just a sampling of what you have to look forward to. Sign up and join the fun!

Welcome to the 5th Annual Numb3rs Slash Ficathon!

The Ficathon is a celebration of the return of Numb3rs and has purposely been timed to take place over hiatus so that a) we all have a reason to live until the new season starts *g*, and b) the posting of the fic will coincide with the premiere of the sixth season.

This year’s theme is Trading Places (aka Role Reversal). How will that work? It’s easy, you just choose two characters and reverse their roles. Maybe Charlie is the FBI agent and Don’s the math genius, or Charlie’s the student and Amita his thesis advisor, or Megan is the elder Eppes and team leader while Don’s the profiler, or David’s the spy and Colby feels betrayed . . .

You do not have to reverse the roles of the characters you will be slashing; you may choose any two characters to ‘role reverse’. For example, reverse Colby and Amita, and have Charlie struggle with his attraction to his grad student Colby Granger.

You may stick pretty closely to canon events otherwise, or go wild and crazy and make your AU even more, uh, AU-ish. (Say, make Edgerton a werewolf. *coff* If you wanted to. No pressure. *g*)

Welcome to the 4th Annual Numb3rs Slash Ficathon!

The Ficathon is a celebration of the return of Numb3rs and has purposely been timed to take place over hiatus so that a) we all have a reason to live until the new season starts *g*, and b) the posting of the fic will coincide (for the most part, anyway) with the premiere of the fifth season.

This year’s theme, Numb3rs Gets Clued In, is based very loosely on the game Clue. How loosely, you ask? Well, we’re going to assign you a prompt consisting of a person, place and thing, and you have to use those three items in your fic. However, how you use your assigned prompt is up to you. They can form the basis of your entire fic, merely be mentioned in passing, or be alluded to only indirectly; you may twist the prompt however you like.

To make things even more interesting, the “person” will be one of the guest characters (excluding the oft-writ Coop and Edgerton), we’ve met on the series.

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Numb3rs Slash Ficathon!

The Ficathon is a celebration of the return of Numb3rs and has purposely been timed to take place over hiatus so that a) we all have a reason to live until the new season starts *g*, and b) the posting of the fic will coincide (for the most part, anyway) with the premiere of the fourth season.

It was a close vote, but the theme for our third Ficathon is ‘Episode Titles’. I have chosen 100 episode titles from BtVS/Ats, SPN, due South, The Sentinel and NCIS. I’ll drop those titles into a hat and randomly assign everyone two titles, one from the BtVS/Ats/SPN collection and one from the dS/TS/NCIS collection. You may use either (or both *g*) of those titles as inspiration for your fic.

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Numb3rs Slash Ficathon!

The Ficathon is a celebration of the return of Numb3rs and has purposely been timed to take place over hiatus so that a) we all have a reason to live until the new season starts *g*, and b) the posting of the fic will coincide (for the most part, anyway) with the premiere of the third season. Your hosts are [livejournal.com profile] audrarose, [livejournal.com profile] sori1773, and [livejournal.com profile] spikedluv.

The theme for our 2nd Ficathon is ‘The ABCs of Crime’. We stole the idea from Sue Grafton’s ABC mystery series, which includes such titles as A is for Alibi and B is for Burglar. The idea is that you’re going to pick a letter and we’re going to assign you a prompt to write for that letter. We promise not to make them too difficult. *weg*

The First Ever Numb3rs Slash Ficathon was announced on July 29, 2005 and run out of my personal LJ by [livejournal.com profile] audrarose, [livejournal.com profile] sori1773 and myself. I've since decided that it would be more organized of me/us to have a journal exclusively for the Ficathons, hence the creation of this community. In the interest of keeping everything in one place, I'm linking here to the Announcement/Sign-Up post and the Master List for the First Ever Numb3rs Slash Ficathon. For posterity. *g*
