Welcome to the 6th Annual Numb3rs Slash Ficathon!

Despite the fact that our show has been canceled, we’d like to celebrate the past six years of awesome.

This year’s theme is 1988.

That year was chosen as my best estimation of the year Don and Charlie graduated high school. Prompts will consist of one each of the top movies, tv shows and songs of 1988, so you’ll have three separate prompts, one of which will hopefully inspire you.

Die Hard, The Land Before Time, Young Guns, Dangerous Liaisons, Mystic Pizza or Bull Durham?

Mission: Impossible, 21 Jump Street, MacGyver, Moonlighting, Beauty and the Beast, or My Two Dads?

I Hate Myself For Loving You, Fast Car, Sweet Child Of Mine, Bad Medicine, Hungry Eyes, Man In The Mirror or Giving You The Best That I Got?

It’s the 80s people! *g* And that’s just a sampling of what you have to look forward to. Sign up and join the fun!

Dates:

1. Sign-ups will remain open through Wednesday, July 21st.

2. Prompts will be posted here at numb3rsficathon on or before Friday, July 23rd.

3. You will have 8 weeks to write; stories will be due between Saturday, September 18th and Friday, September 24th. (Please don’t post your stories before then. On the 18th, I’ll create a master list and ask you to provide links in the comments.)

Some Rules:

You may write any slash pairing (that includes both m/m and f/f slash), any rating, any genre. There is no maximum word length, but stories should be at least 1000 words. (That’s only about 3 pages, folks!)

Please note that you do not need to have a LiveJournal account to participate in the Ficathon.

Just for vacay. My aunt lives in upstate NY and we plan on visiting her sometime in the next 6 months to a year.

Lakeville - we fly into Rochester. (She's a social worker though, and goes all over the state.)

Okay, I have no idea where that is without checking the map, lol, and Rochester isn't that close to me (3 hours maybe?), BUT, you can NOT come all the way to the east coast, and to UPSTATE NY specifically, without us getting together. It would be a crime! *g*

I KNOW. IDK when exactly we're planning on coming out but I'll let you know.

We may end up flying into NYC and doing that for a couple days like we did back in '03 because I didn't get to see everything I wanted to. *g*

Also, Lakeville's like... an hour-ish away from Niagara Falls, IIRC, if that helps.
