There’s four weeks left before the master list goes up for posting week! Everyone got their fic done? Completely outlined? A fully fleshed-out idea? *shifty eyes* Yeah, me, too. *g*

It was suggested that a beta sign-up post might make it easier for ficathon authors to find a beta for their fic. This is that beta sign-up post. *g*

If you are willing to beta, please copy and paste the following form (or something similar) into a comment to this post and fill it out. The more information you provide, the less likely you are to have someone ask you to beta a fic you wouldn’t be caught dead reading.

What you are unwilling to read (pairings, squicks, etc): I'm not a huge fan of David/Don or Don/Charlie, but I'm willing to beta them.
Any other info you think is relevant: Depending on how long your fic is, it will take me two days to a week to beta (A week for a huge mama of a fic, two days for shorter ones. I like to go back and reread after a day, so even a drabble will take me two days.)

What you are unwilling to read (pairings, squicks, etc): ...except Mpreg (male pregnancy), Charlie/Larry fic (no offence, just don't interest me) and I don't mind s&m/D/s and kink at all but spanking!fic I don't read.
Any other info you think is relevant: I may take a couple (2 days at the most for a drabble, may be more for a fic) of days to Beta as I like reread a lot even after I Beta just to make sure.

What you are unwilling to read (pairings, squicks, etc): Charlie/Other, Don/Other, really dark!fic with rape a/o non-con, death!fic, heavy BDsM.

Any other info you think is relevant: Long time beta for Supernatural fandom, professional editor by trade. Basically, editing is often my life. =D I will beta for plot holes, characterization, and SPaG -- most other things, but ask specifically. I can edit anything under 10k in a 24 hour period but more than that, and I'll definitely need more time.

What you are unwilling to read (pairings, squicks, etc): I do not do miscarriage but can handle the aftermath. No male pregnancy either.

Any other info you think is relevant: I am a beta editor in several fandoms [Magnificent 7, Numb3rs, Lord of the Rings] and willing to look at other fandoms. I am an amateur proofreader trained by a professional and a researcher as well. I aim for 24 hour around with longer pieces taking longer.
